SHELTER SUBSEA CO., LTD. — KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN
Shelter Subsea is a ROV technical services team built entirely from local Taiwanese talent. From subsea operations and equipment maintenance to IMCA-certified training — we deploy flexible, expert crews to meet any underwater operational demand.
01 ABOUT SHELTER SUBSEA
Subsea engineering in Taiwan has long been led by international contractors — which means long mobilisation cycles, cost structures priced to European and American markets, and friction across language and regulatory lines. Shelter Subsea exists so that international standards and local efficiency no longer have to be traded against each other.
EDGE / 01
The crew is already in Taiwan. From request to mobilisation there is no waiting on international scheduling — emergency repairs and short-notice reinforcement arrive fast.
EDGE / 02
We know Taiwan's sea conditions, port operating rules and local subcontracting practice. Work plans, risk assessments and site coordination run without translation overhead.
EDGE / 03
A local crew carries no international travel, standby or mobilisation burden. The same IMCA operating standard, with a structurally better total project cost.
Shelter Subsea does more than deliver projects —
we are building Taiwan's own subsea engineering talent pool.
02 OUR PRINCIPLES
Proven field experience
專業精實Adherence to international standards
安全至上Rapid deployment support
靈活應變Cultivating Taiwanese talent
在地培育03 SERVICES
Most contractors cover one link in the chain. Shelter Subsea keeps operations, maintenance, supply, advisory, crewing and training inside a single team — so clients never have to arbitrate responsibility between vendors.

維修保養
Fault diagnosis, routine maintenance and system function testing — hydraulics, power and control systems — to keep vehicle downtime short.
SVC / 03
採購及線材供應
Equipment selection consulting, umbilical cables and consumables. Specification advice grounded in actual field operation, not catalogue reading.
SVC / 04
諮詢顧問服務
Feasibility assessment, procedure review and risk management — clarifying the technical and safety boundaries of subsea scope before a project starts.
SVC / 05
人才招募媒合
Local and international ROV Pilot / Supervisor recruitment, screened by people who have done the job and can tell a real record from a written one.
SVC / 06
ROV 教育訓練
IMCA-certified instructors supplied, plus support for training providers and operators building course structures and procedures to international standard.
04 ROV EXPERIENCE
Shelter Subsea is built on people and technical capability. Our crew has operated and maintained the vehicle types below, and knows their system behaviour and field limitations — which is what determines the level of support we can give to a client's own spread.

05 PROJECTS
Every dive leaves an auditable record. Selected publicly releasable work is shown below; client names are handled under confidentiality agreements.
Visual and structural inspection of foundations, scour protection and anodes, delivered with a full report and video record.
ROV-mounted tracking for route confirmation and burial depth measurement, with positional data on anomalous sections.
Condition survey of quay piles and breakwater structures, supporting the engineering team's remediation planning.
06 CERTIFICATION & HSE
Internationally recognised ROV operating technician certification under the IMCA scheme.
High-voltage system competence and hazard awareness — a prerequisite for deeper work scopes.
Formal survey training, so operational output feeds directly into engineering and mapping workflows.
Safety is not a slogan. It is a number that survives an audit.
07 ACCREDITATION SUPPORT
Operating skill can be claimed by anyone; an audit only recognises systems and documentation. Shelter Subsea supported MTIC — the Maritime Technology Innovation Center — through the IMCA training centre audit, securing its authorisation to run ROV courses to international standard. That is the reason Taiwanese technicians no longer have to travel abroad to certify.
MILESTONE — MTIC IMCA TRAINING CENTRE AUDIT
Shelter Subsea supplied IMCA-certified instructors and helped MTIC build the course structure and operating procedures the audit demanded, working alongside their training facility and ROV simulators to complete the accreditation process.
